More Season ticket Pledges Required
More Season ticket Pledges Required
At last nights meeting i believe it was said that only £23,000 had been pledged in season tickets, come on folks even if you pedge you don,t have to pay if their isn,t a club or if you don,t agree any now owners if and when we eventually go forward . I would think that a good pledge for season tickets might make the difference between a white night on his charges or not ? I think we had about 500 last season so with the earlier season ticket applications and the pledges to the trust that must be only about 200
Re: More Season ticket Pledges Required
Is that figure the amount of money from the ST pledges to the trust or the pledges and the ST money that was paid to the club before the end of the season, cause I know there will be some (like me) that had paid for STs to the club before the trust decided to take the money instead.

Just money pledged to the Trust.Olly wrote:Is that figure the amount of money from the ST pledges to the trust or the pledges and the ST money that was paid to the club before the end of the season, cause I know there will be some (like me) that had paid for STs to the club before the trust decided to take the money instead.

How do I pledge I thought the idea was not to pay at the moment
Re: More Season ticket Pledges Required
I'd say that's not bad then, £23k is probably around 80 people depending on how many concessions have been bought, I don't know how many people would have actually bought them at the club but while I know there was the obvious uncertainty over the club's future, I know that a large proportion of ST purchases are usually the earlier ST applications (well that was the case last year) and the club did push the offer with the Beasants statements. So I'd take a guess that 250-300 bought them through the club before the end of the season, although that might be an optimistic guess, just depends on how many people were sceptical enough to not buy one.davealbon wrote:Just money pledged to the Trust.Olly wrote:Is that figure the amount of money from the ST pledges to the trust or the pledges and the ST money that was paid to the club before the end of the season, cause I know there will be some (like me) that had paid for STs to the club before the trust decided to take the money instead.

I had heard it was around 150 season tickets that had been previously paid for prior to the trusts arrangement.

Theres also the issue of people not having the money, things are tight for many and lots of folk are worried about their jobs, rising prices etc - they just can't afford it !! People are prioritising stuff and R&DFC is falling sadly short on many people's lists - its sad, but thats the reality.
Of course there is also an issue of confidence - against that backdrop people need to be sure of the future before parting with their cas. We've seen on here people asking how they can pledge for their ticket - the message clearly isn't getting out clearly enough to the local population.
I don't live in the area - but is it in the local press, on local radio etc?? If not there will just be a lot of people just waiting for some good news that might never come.
