Where, when, who whats the plan
Whats the news on this conference meeting do we the fans know anything! is it tomorrow.today - do we get feedback, can we send a rep!
Who knows what!
Who knows what!

The meeting with the Conference is scheduled for the 6th June.
I don't suspect much news until late on that day or even until the 7th or maybe we will still be Mushrooms until the 12th/13th June.
Of course the potential white knight with a few millions may issue a statement today to milk the limelight.

The meeting on Monday is surely the decisive one, if we cannot satisfy them that we can fulfill our fixtures next season thats it! They will be particularly keen to ensure this after the Chester debacle.
The AGM will just 'rubber stamp' what is decieded on Monday.
There seems no reason why we can't be told the outcome by Monday evening, but given the total lack of communication from them I won't hold my breath.

I also think a lot of the initial energy has gone as most people have wised up that the meeting with KC was a charade and mugs like me gleefully thought that the present owners would depart, that I feel would have brought a new fizz to us but it didnt happen as Mr & Mr Beasant are still there but are ananymous.
They are going to stay until the bitter end methinks, so with that in mind and barring an absolute miracle that an investor surfaces over the weekend it doesnt look good - its at times like this that the british usually battle to the end and get a result but I just cant see it happening with these current generals.
I just dont feel apart of it as there is no communication or indication on what our strategy is to be for Monday, I feel that the decision on monday is probably a foregone conclusion with The Conference having low level confidence we can meet our fixtures over a complete season - I hope I am wrong.
I am guessing that we are relying on the current owners to make our case to The Conference Board, is that correct, if it is gawd help us all!

The meeting was not a Charade, you cannot just have the Beasants leave without someone to take over, the Club must have owners.
If we get somone with the Money to take us forwards only then will the Beasants stand down that is the only way they will leave and that was explained to us by KC.
Talks about the future of the Club with new investors would take place in private and i'm afraid you won't get a daily newsletter of who is who and whom said what, it doesn't happen that way.

As the only directors of the club, the Beasant's can't both just depart. There has to be someone to replace them. KC said openly that he isn't prepared to do it, and it was quite obvious from a very early stage that we supporters were never going to be able to raise the finances required to save the club, let alone run it on a day to day basis.Dinky Diamond wrote:I also think a lot of the initial energy has gone as most people have wised up that the meeting with KC was a charade and mugs like me gleefully thought that the present owners would depart, that I feel would have brought a new fizz to us but it didnt happen as Mr & Mr Beasant are still there but are ananymous.

I am appreciative that you need directors to run a company, my fear is we have our hopes pinned on a pair of non runners, to be honest I dont think there has been enough transparency - and I was trying to promote a more professional approach to a Conference Interview I am sorry to be so dismissive but we dont even know the top end debt that is owed - if I was interviewing for the league that is adefinite question I would be asking not looking to be controversial just nervous!

I don't think anyone is pinning their hopes on these "non-runners" as you put it (I can think of plenty of less polite ways to describe them :x ), there are just no realistic alternatives at the moment.Dinky Diamond wrote:I am appreciative that you need directors to run a company, my fear is we have our hopes pinned on a pair of non runners, to be honest I dont think there has been enough transparency - and I was trying to promote a more professional approach to a Conference Interview I am sorry to be so dismissive but we dont even know the top end debt that is owed - if I was interviewing for the league that is adefinite question I would be asking not looking to be controversial just nervous!
I too share your concerns about the Conference meeting, I just can't see how the Beasants can convince anyone that they can guarantee the club will be able to fulfil its fixtures next season. Given the endless stream of bullshit that they've fed us since arriving at the club, not even the morons on the Conference board are going to believe any more of it.
Our only hope is that KC, Voldemort (Colin Hill) or some unknown knight in shining armour comes to our rescue, and soon.

I cant concentrate today at work with worry - I hope the board see that RDFC have an excellent history, would the Simeon money and Thommo money coming in not give them a little insurance!
