Please Help saturday
Please Help saturday
As i put on this site a week ago Mrs Stagman is collecting with buckets at the Rushden Netto store and would appreciate some help sometime during the day, so far nobody has phoned to help so come on folks lets all pull togehter and give my Mrs a ring on 07850864537, even if you can only help for an hour, Cheers Stagman
Re: Please Help saturday
Well Done to Mrs Stagman again ,for putting herself out and bucket collecting at netto's yesterday, jordan went to help her for an hour ,he thinks they raised about £20.00.
The thing is i look at the veiws Mr stagmans post asking for help(325 veiws)and only 1 person turns up!
I know a lot of people are frustrated as to where we are,is the club going to survive ,an hour of your time is not a lot,if the people who put themselves out for this cant be bothered after a poor response can you blame them ,no ,at least they tried.!

It will be interesting to reflect on how many Diamonds fans will be able to stand up and say "I did my bit to try and save my club" if the worst happens tomorrow.
Not everyone can get involved in every campaign, and people do have other commitments from time to time, but it's pretty disappointing nevertheless.

Re: Please Help saturday
It's life I'm afraid. Even if we'd given up every single moment over the last few weeks we still wouldn't be anywhere near a position where we'd be able to pay off the current debts or successfully run the Club next season.
I did my bit and will do so again when I'm available but it is a huge task and, in my opinion, isn't achievable :(

Re: Please Help saturday
Netto isn't exactly the most busiest/nicest of places to stand out in front of though!

Yes i agree formic,we all have our lives to live,i also have a lot of commitments like everyone,so i have no problem with that,i just hope if the worse happens some people should not moan after the event as always happens,at least if you have done something ,you have tried to help the cause.
Re: Please Help saturday
Maybe not - but surely that should not put people off helping if they really want to show how committed Diamonds fans are to helping the club going forwards. Nobody was under an illusion this would solve all of our problems - but showing a prospective investor there was a committed fanbase who were prepared to stand and collect in front of a "value-supermarket" might just have helped an iota. The Godfather wrote:Netto isn't exactly the most busiest/nicest of places to stand out in front of though!
Re: Please Help saturday
We've already collected at some of the other supermarkets around so it was only fair that Netto should have a turn. It won't be there much longer so it was a good job we got in while we could ;)

We have been allowed to bucket collect at Sixfields, Waitrose, Wikinsons properties at Rushden and Nettos,. Mk Dons were approached for the game against Posh and Rusden Asda were approached and neither of them would allow us . I suugget people remember this ( i will) and Asda will be bottom of my shopping list now. Thankyou very much to all these companies for their help. Also to Rushden Historical Society for allowing us to have a collection bucket at one of their open weekends
