Car Boot sale

Post by Redsnapper »

Many thanks to all those that helped out again today

We raised £141.48 which included £47.48 that Joan gave us from the other boot sellers, but did not include the buckets she was collecting in today.

Once again not a fantastic amount but it all adds up. I think it was £169 the last one so over the two Sundays we've raised over £310 for the trust.

Well done and many thanks.

Will advise when we're doing the next one, possibly 3rd July.

Well done to all of you , everything helps , this is what a lot of people don,t realise. If all the people at that first meeting with KC raised a £100 each in their own way that would be £40.000, i rest my caes . But a lot of people have done nothing its only been a small band of us, even if you could get a collecting box in you local shop/pub etc it would all add up

Yes Stagman I was one of those helping on Sunday, and it is true to say that most of us helping were "of an age"(sorry ladies and Mal). There are plenty of fans on this forum spouting about what could and should be done.Where are you?? Redsnapper asked for help with the car boot and he had a paltry seven offers. 400 + at that meeting seems like about 10% of them willing to get off their backsides to help to try save YOUR FOOTBALL CLUB.Come on,in Delia,s famous words " LET,S BE AVING YOU ". ;)

Thank you diamondal, I only came along to bring the average age down!

Also to add, more items are still required for the next car boot sale and some different volunteers wouldn't go a miss too, it always seems to be the same "OLD" faces!

I've put a news story on the SaveRDFC site appealing for help at the Boot Sales and the other collections etc - hopefully this will see a decent response - http://www.saverdfc.com/blog/

I'll pass on the details of volunteers / donators via email to the appropriate people.
