message from Justin
Re: message from Justin
I asked him about down the road but he's not had any contact. Interestingly poppynet are suggesting it and even more interesting is that I understand that with SB not at agn Ladak was asking questions on our behalf! Can see ground share or worse still occurring because we will not be able to afford NP in the southern league!

Re: message from Justin
We could (maybe) as part of a groundshare though eh? Mind you, a ground share is ony a gnats fart away from a merger and that I couldn't cope with, the club would be dead to me anyway if that happened !!

Re: message from Justin
I hope Justin reads this forum as i'm in no doubt that they'll be no end of supporters who wish to place on record their thanks for his contribution to our cause for the past couple of years.
Personally i'd like to say how grateful i am for making the Diamonds fun to watch again. I will never forget our run to the playoffs in the season before last. I was in a tough place at the time but following the team home and away got me through it and the football genuinely was a joy to watch. It's just a shame we lost at Oxford otherwise this could all have been so different had we managed to go up. Still these are all if's and but's and theres no point in dwelling on it we have to focus on whats ahead.
In my opinion though Justin did a better job managing the side last season. It was a horrible campaign and must have been so challenging. He lost his assistant manager. From what has been reported he was undermined by an owner who was trying to remove him from the job. Obviously the squad were affected by the tragic events with Dale and football was obviously secondary after that. However even when on top of this the staff throughout the club were not being paid regularly Justin kept some sort of unity within the squad, held them together and they were still playing for each other and picking up results.
I've said this all to him anyway but Justin thanks for the work you put in and making it enjoyable to support the team again. You had a great relationship with the fans from day one. Although as everyone says the term legend is overused I definitely put you up there with the diamonds legends of the past. You showed our club loyalty that is not often found in the game these days and I don't think anyone would have blamed you for walking away from the job earlier. I hope that you enjoy a long and successful career in management. Who knows you may even find a club that has some money to spend. You are definitely destined for better things and I for one will be following your career with interest.
Ps Pigman if there's any spaces in the Justin appreciation society you seem to be setting up add me as a member. You could even start charging an annual subscription!

Justin made RDFC a joy to support again, and i'm sure no Diamonds fan has a bad word to say about him. Can pay him no bigger compliment than that.
I'm on my phone so can't be arsed to trawl through threads to find the appropriate one, but if we're in the Zamaretto Prem then I for one am excited. What's done is done. New owners, a bit of positivity for the first time in months. Bring it on.

Re: message from Justin
Chris, any chance you could persuade him to come along to the open meeting next week so we can show our appreciation face to face? I know he probably won't feel like it, but it'd be nice to have the opportunity to wish him well and thank him for all he has done.Pressman wrote:He doesn't read it but you can rest assure that your comments will be fed back to him!

Re: message from Justin
I say again, why should we pay for the full costs of the stadium when we'd only need to use it part-time at that level? Why would it be out of our price range? We'd have to negotiate a deal with KC to pay for what we used and not the upkeep of the whole site as a full-time club. Hire one stand, pay for the gas and electric on a meter then maybe a lease rental agreement or something? Is it that bad that we cannot afford to compete with Histon, Hayes & Yeading, Forest Green Rovers who all have a full stadium to upkeep ? Why are we writing it off so easily ? We do not own the site, so why should we be responsible for paying for all of it?Pressman wrote: Can see ground share or worse still occurring because we will not be able to afford NP in the southern league!

Re: message from Justin
On the subject of Justin, thanks for everything gaffer. We'd surely love to see you back as Manager, but it's not looking good at the minute. God bless and best wishes if you decide to move on, it's been a priviledge knowing you (even the disagreements  ). Thanks for being so honest with us, good luck to you and your family.
