Got this of poppynet''' Is it just a coincedence that southport will be reprieved,it seems that their is a very bad smell eminating from the conference board.Forest green x3 ,Altrincham x2 and now Southport all clubs who have people in the upper echalons of the board. will alty get saved again as well?
Also you have to ask yourself why did they not accept KC'S offer (which i must say must not be understated and thank him he could've quite easily stood by) and say whose interests are the league looking after? certainly not ours or the creditors and those that are owed money, you get the impression this was all sorted beforehand and we didn't have a leg to stand on whatever we put across.

Re: Is this a stitch up
Interesting comment on a Southport (Non-Football) site, on a thread about the Chairman's MBE

Charlie Clapham long standing chairman of Southport Football Club has been awarded a MBE in The Queens Birthday Honours List published today.

So what was this awarded for? Services to bullshit?
On second thoughts, congratulations Charlie. Any Chairman who can get his club promoted by default one season and then saved from relegation by default the following season was either born lucky or has friends in high places. I suppose for his next trick he will be turning water into wine, although knowing Charlie it will only be cheap plonk.

Friends in high places indeed. Still at the end of the day that's a side issue - as we needed to sort our own problems out first, but it does make you wonder.

Re: Is this a stitch up
Looking on poppynet even a lot of the K*ttering fans seem to think it is as well
Re: Is this a stitch up
NLP says that Charlie Clapham (the league's vice-chair) wasn't allowed at yesterday's AGM or any vote because of his 'club's vested interest'.
