So our discredited owners plan an open fans forum this week! Like the appalling PR's issued today a case of too little too late Mr Beasant.
With winding up orders due on monday it might actually be one last get together to celebrate a 19 year rollercoaster that I feel privileged to have witnessed. Yes those crowing down the A6 may still have a club in the conf prem for this season at least but it'll probably take them another 100 years to achieve what we have in just 19!
Yes we could survive but realistically a phoenix club for 2012 is our only real hope of salvaging the r + d name unless of course the japanese consortium is not only genuine but also prepared 2 start from a lower base level or ladak ground shares with us.
What I don't want at the forum is for the Beasants to attend in any shape or form. That would be as embarrassing as their brief tenure. The FA needs to investigate their involvement and then ban them for life from any involvement with football again!
I also don't want the Trust chairing the meeting. Having seemingly old us out to KC they have been totally inept since then and been found wanting again during the current crisis. How many of the Trust board now watch Corby Town?
KC maybe the only person that can provide us with any relevant info albeit his invisible sidekick + Mr Ladak .could probably do so as well.
But for what will probably be a wake wouldn't it be nice if Justin could be present one last time to chair the meeting and allow us to give him the send off he deserves in the traditional R+D manner!

Re: fans forum
I want the Beasants there, I want to know how they accumulated such debt in such a short space of time. Were they telling the truth regarding their financial position when they took over the club?
Someone wrote on a different thread that KC tried to sell up as quick as possible and therefore did little research, personally, I wouldn't have expected KC to do vigorous amounts of research as you trust that the people your selling to are in a capable and the right position to look after the club.
If the Beasents chose not to turn up and explain what happened then I will be livid. There is no point in lying and brushing things under the carpet anymore, I can kind of understand why they may have mislead some a couple or so months ago, but know we need the truth and nothing but the truth.

Re: fans forum
What would be the point of them being there? They've spouted nothing but bullshit since taking over the club and I for one don't want to hear any more of it. Even if they suddenly began telling the truth would you actually believe it?
If they turn up at the forum it will turn into a massive slanging match (or worse) and prove to be completely unconstructive. There are a few things I would like to tell them to their faces but a fans' forum where we are trying to secure a way forward for our club (which is NOT finished just yet, despite yesterday's decision) is not the place.
As far as I'm concerned they can f*** off back to whatever hole they've been hiding in over the last couple of months and either wait for the club to go bust and take them with it, or for new owners to take over and save us from those crooks.

Re: fans forum
I would like them there to give them the opportunity to tell their story, not to pillory them with abuse, I dont think they have conducted themseleves very well at all and I want them to walk away from that meeting with that message firmly in mind....................this is an opportunity for us to cut all the crap, the hearsay and here it for ourselves, if you dont want them there perhaps they could attend for a part of the meeting then leave then others who dont want them there can come in!

Re: fans forum
The problem is most of the crap and hearsay has come from the mouths of Messrs Beasant. They're not going to turn up at the forum and say "We never had any money, we've taken money from the club for ourselves and our failed NVQ business and not put anything in. We are predominantly, if not solely responsible for the current state of the club" which I strongly suspect is actually the truth.Dinky Diamond wrote:this is an opportunity for us to cut all the crap, the hearsay and here it for ourselves

Re: fans forum
Dave, I am not arguing, they have not stepped up to the mark before, I want to hear it for myself, I want to hear them say to me that they have tried their best and then for them to get the message that they have to go.................they are not getting the message we are giving them.
I dont think they will come, they are anonymous mis-manage at a distance directors who do not accept they have done anything wrong - lets hear from the horses mouth what makes them feel that way, everything we have heard has been through others, lets at least see them face to face, split the meeting up I would like to hear them, I understand you disagree.
I have never been in the same room as them let alone hear them speak, lets see if CEO and Ex marine Liam are brave enough to show their faces - I swear not to be abusive but an attentive listener, who knows we both might learn something!

They won't turn up, I don't even think Liam turned up to the conference meeting last week.
I don't believe a word they say anyway, yesterday's amateurish press statement from Steve just shows what we are dealing with. I still can't believe Keith allowed them to take over, and risk his own investment let alone our football club.
I agree with Chris re the trust, they admitted themselves that they are only fundraisers.
I can see our only option being reforming AFC Rushden and Diamonds for 2012-2013

Re: fans forum
The impression I got from KC at the fans meeting was that he was frustrated at pumping in money and running the club with some help but when he came knocking for some extra support it was lacking with exception of the Irthlingboro trust, he named the shirt sponsoring fiasco etc.so he probably thought f*** it,some body wants the club they can have it,he was probably pissed off at the time and who can blame him .when it's good everybody is your friend it's only when it gets tough do you find out who's in your corner,
