AFC or another Crawley...
AFC or another Crawley...
i know what my choice is but reading between the lines its clear what will develop over the coming days. My own personal view is this, the japs will purchase into this new scheme that will have KC as landlord with Ladak and Calder as investors/on the board to create a new Crawley with JE as manager. That explains why Justin has stuck around, KC mentioned he's still in contact with the Japs and Hoddle and no doubt football cv to run a separate income on the land. For me its no coincidence that Ladak was in a boardroom up the corridor tonight, once spotted they turned the lights off but remained in the room. Gary Calder being there is no coincidence either. Its all part of a bigger picture but easing the so called fans into it by keeping them on side as a business man would to merge the two sets of fans. No suprise that K*ttering have there meeting tomorrow too. How anyone can say they love a stadium over their club is beyond me. Its almost like choosing a house over your family. Rushden are the first club i've ever followed week in week out and my memories are of the club not a stadium. Sure a phoenix would be hard work but least now we can separate the die hards from the plastic supporters. If we can keep the momentum and passion of the loyal fans and really get this moving then why not. I'd rather follow a lower level Rushden than K*ttering any day. How many united fans switched to city, how many liverpool switch to Everton etc. Those that supported tonight can go with it, stuff you the club however big or small won't need you. No loyalty and a complete loss of respect. Wish my comments on another thread weeks ago were picked up on so a phoenix could have got underway coz its always been clear to me that this was going to happen. We've been stitched up by scum, its time to fight it and find justice. If thats in the shape of a phoenix, so be it
Re: AFC or another Crawley...
hi ,i was at the trust meeting on tuesday when the subject of a pheonix club was brought up,the first problem is where would we play??(was mentioned to approach raunds to see about a ground share[would their pitch take it??].
the ground needs stands ,turnstyles ,stewards, catering, staff to look after the place, safety certificate, fire certifcate,clubhouse/changing rooms, insurance, licencing, floodlights ,fencing etc etc
then there is the manager to pay,and the players(was mentioned at the trust meeting about the likes of brackley town ,whom i think we would be playing, the players on
£1000 a week)
on wage bill alone it will need to generate between £10 000 to £15 000 a week......HOW?
then im sorry to say once again ,WHERE ARE THE SUPPORTERS COMING FROM???
sorry to be so negative but i thing it needs another MAX ,which in this current climate isnt going to happen.would be great to see the youth team be our future....but where?
question.......youth set ups have to be affiliated to a club ........dont bite me here but if the ktfc youth is affiliated to the first team then why cant(here goes) rdfc youth be affiliated to ktfc and still use the facilities????

surely if we could agree to play at Raunds, and tap into some of the co operative money that would be a start.
You would then have to look at holding trials and invite applications for a manager, if we stayed at UCL level then so be it, at least i will be following Rushden

We need to talk to the other phoenix clubs in particular and also talk to Raunds and find out more about the cooperative money.
No one is kidding themselves that it isn't going to be hard work but it is a serious proposition and be done.

You need to form a steering group first to find out who has the necessary skills to form and administer a football club otherwise you might end up with two clowns with absolutely no idea on how to run a football club as happened at Nene Park on the 1st December 2010. :evil:Mad Dog wrote:

Yes, which is what our first step will hopefully be. I'm just clarifying things, so that it is clear that the phoenix is the way forward.Trek wrote:You need to form a steering group first to find out who has the necessary skills to form and administer a football club otherwise you might end up with two clowns with absolutely no idea on how to run a football club as happened at Nene Park on the 1st December 2010. :evil:Mad Dog wrote:
