Tonight's table topping tustle !!
TTTT =
Luton v Oxford Utd
Rushden & D'mnds v Eastbourne Boro
Stevenage v Mansfield
So then, BIG night tonight. The stats say the following:
Luton - last 5 home games have won 1, drawn 1 and lost 3 - dreadful for a side with title aspirations at the start of the season, its not the walk in the park they thought it was going to be is it? But thats just at home, away from home they've been pretty good with 4 wins out of the last 5 played - scared of playing in front of their own (none too supportive) fans maybe??
Oxford - 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat on the road scoring 9 and letting in 5.
Oxford win for me !! I'll go for a tight 0-1
The Diamonds - 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat in the last 5 and a massive 14 goals scored and just 5 let in. Tomlin missing is a blow, but I still think we'll have too much for Eastborne.
Eastbourne - won 1, drew 3 and lost 1 - I think they'll look at our goals for column and shut up shop - will we have the guile to break them down is the question. 6 goals for and 8 against indicates we could get through them.
Diamonds to win by 2-0
Stevenage - last 5 shows 4 wins 1 draw no losses and 10 goals for and none against - they're looking formidable at home !!
Mansfield - shit or bust merchants away from home, bit more shit than bust with 2 wins and 3 draws in the last 5 matches, plus they've let 9 goals in and only scored 8.
Banker home win - 2-0
What do you lot reckon then????

Luton 4-0 Oxford - they are heading towards one of those games they are famous for, poor form of late!
Stevenage 3-0 Mansfield - Cant see Stevenage losing this one, Mansfield are on a bad run, its the Burgess Syndrome!
Rushden 2-0 Eastbourne - Comfortable Win for the men in white!! SO UP FOR THIS!

Re: Tonight's table topping tustle !!
I agree with Stevenage winner, they are brilliant at home and personally I don't think Mansfield are anything special.
Not sure about Luton - Oxford, my instinct would be draw but after seeing Luton's home record I'm tempted to say Oxford.
I think you hit the nail on the head with our match, they'll come and play for a 0 0, and perhaps get a sneaky counter goal, and it all comes down to whether we can break them down or not - an early goal would be lovely for us. If they're plan works though it could be very boring. I can see it either being0 0-0 or 3/4 - 0/1 to us.

I'm sure you didn't mean that, Jim - 2 wins and 3 draws with a negative goal difference? ;)PigmanRDFC wrote:

Shows how tight it is at the top though - at the end of the evening we could be 4th in the table, 4 points ahead of the scum, or 7th and just 1 point ahead of them - big BIG night for our lads - time to really step up to the plate I reckon !!

Ideally Oxford and Boro win... I can't see us catching them and I'm more pre-occupied with Luton and Mansfield at the moment.

Stevenage and Oxford to win, both by a couple of goals.
As for us? I'm going to have to say 0-0. It seems we never win midweek. In fact I can't remember the last time we did.
