Breaking News - Appeal to Conference
Re: Breaking News - Appeal to Conference
I suppose, if the beasants manage to sell the club to someone then it means they wouldn't be liable for any of the money, that's quite an incentive I suppose, although I don't know anything just putting 2+2 together and getting 576!

... and say they do win an appeal regardless of when that happens, surley the compensation they'd be due would be huge. Loss of earnings etc??? Do they have anything to lose?

**drifts off**...
SHIRLEY IS RIGHT - DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
Rushden & Diamonds FC have succeeded in overturning a ruling to expel them from the Football Conference for the 2011-2012 season. A mysterious Japanese investor has saved the day at last minute, eradicating the debt by paying off all creditors double what was owed, and showing the Conference Board Rushden & Diamonds are solvent. We are also aware that the group intend on throwing K*ttering Town FC out of Nene Park.
However, trouble is expected, and a special ASBO team has been drafted it by the Police to deal with the amount of people in East Northants celebrating or drowning their sorrows.
The Japanese investor issued a statement through his website. 'I'm delighted to have finally sorted the deal, and to allow Rushden & Diamonds FC to compete in the Conference next season. It has always been my dream to own a professional side in the UK, where football is so huge, and can't wait to start. I will be booting K*ttering out of the ground when I arrive at midnight tonight, and holding a huge p*ss-up at the club. All welcome.'
Many rumours have been circulating about the possible arrival of Billy Sharp & Simeon Jackson to the club.

This will no doubt be all about compensation, I wouldn't get too excited about winning or getting reinstated, this is probably about someone cashing in on the conference boards incompetence! Good luck to whoever it is, even the beasants if its them, the conference deserve a kick up the arse

Out of interest, wasn't KC "popping over to Spain at the weekend to have a chat to Glen"
you never know until that fat lady has sang the song, however she is clearing her throat as we speak.

Regardless of this news, it changes nothing. Given that it is unlikely to make a difference, we should still focus all efforts towards a phoenix club.
