Northants FA Affiliation..
Weren't we told at the Fans Forum by KC and HT that Rushden & Diamonds weren't affiliated to the Northants FA and as the AGM had passed it was too late to do so?
The Northamptonshire FA have just put a status on facebook..
'Please remember Club Affiliations Forms need to be fully completed and returned to the NFA HQ at 9 Duncan Close, Moulton Park, Northampton as soon as possible.
If you have any problems or queries, please feel free to contact the office on 01604 678402 and speak to Sue.'
More lies we've been told?

Could AFC register in time for the new season?
Is this even sensible if it could be achieved given our other issues?

what would the point in registering be?AFC have no secretary, chairman, manager, players, and no ground??

It certainly seems to be the plan and, as The Gob said last night, Northants FA have said it's not too late for such a team to join the UCL.
Picked this up from Ploppynet, So have we been fed a load of Cods from certain people, of course it works well for KC and IL if we have to wait a year for our new club because momentum will be lost and people may drift from the idea of a Phoenix Club.
It would be gauling to find out that next season Kettrin AFC are playing in the UCL and we are spending a season trying to keep the people together.

Quite right - my initial thoughts are, if it possible, we should have a real go for this season to keep momentum. Having said that, I'm not blind to the issues!Biggles wrote:It certainly seems to be the plan and, as The Gob said last night, Northants FA have said it's not too late for such a team to join the UCL.

Those that have started the work may be more up to date on the issues however putting an application for the UCL and Affilation for next season may be worth it, they can only turn us away.
Those that are at Nene Park and those that may arrive have a vested interest in us not getting started.

I have personally spoken to the FA, the Northants FA and the UCL, in fact I have just been speaking to the UCL again this morning.Biggles wrote:It certainly seems to be the plan and, as The Gob said last night, Northants FA have said it's not too late for such a team to join the UCL.

I was told that the UCL are not prepared to accept an 'AFC R&DFC' or similar team into any of their divisions, including the reserve divisions for 2011/12.
This is exactly the same answer that K*ttering were given although I can confirm that K*ttering have made an approach to the UCL.
The secretary of the UCL said that I could quote him exactly in saying that 'No "Rushden & Diamonds" or "K*ttering Town" teams have been accepted to the UCL for 2011/12. Both sets of fans have approached the league and both sets of fans have been given exactly the same information - i.e. that they are too late for this season. The approach by K*ttering is documented in the AGM minutes. At all points of contact both sets of fans have been treated exactly the same.'
As per usual, this is forum rumours getting out of hand. The UCL have been very helpful towards us and are interested in speaking to us for 2012/13. I for one would like to thank them for their help and look forward to working with them at a later date.
