I think that this has been proposed to appease, Ben Pickering the landlord, who wouldn't receive any rent at RR for the remaining two years of the lease, if the Ploppies play all senior league and cup games at Nene Park. Don't forget Pickering currently receives 19% of all gate receipts from games at RR so he wouldn't get much revenue if they were only using RR for the odd friendly, reserve/youth game.
Ladak must have very deep pockets if he carries on maintaining two pitches, paying service utility bills and business rates on two grounds for the next two years. He will need gates of at least 2,000 or a very good FA Cup run to avoid financial difficulties. ;)
So R&D are going under because they couldnt afford the upkeep of NP, now KTFC are going to pay to keep NP and RR up to Conference standard. I was never much good at maths, so can someone explain the arithmetic here for me.
Could be K*ttering are going to make a sustained attempt on league status and they could never achieve that from RR, either way they need to throw some money about, wouldnt surprise me if an option to buy NP after 3 years or so is part of the lease agreement.

Playing in a 5 star stadium doesn't guarantee success or improve their chances in getting League status.
It's on the green stuff that matters most and unless they improve the quality of their squad then they will do well to finish higher than 15th or so in the league next season.
Look at our national team, they play in probably the most up to date stadium in the world yet struggle to beat teams they would have walloped a few years back.
I see it the other way around, surely KTFC are speculating by splashing some cash around - I cant see them making the same mistakes we made because as bad as ladak my be, he is visible, he is a survivor and must have some capital. (Maybe he had a good poker hand and whipped our young pup Liam clean)
I appreciate he sails close to the wind but he might be cash rich at the moment, I would guess he has negotiated a good deal with KC (who wants to sweat his asset) on rent and a fixed optional price for the ground a few years down the road.
K*ttering traditionally have got corporate support from Weldon Plant and many of the smaller businesses in and around K*ttering - I expect them to consolidate this year and build a better team under Cooper and Eaden in the future. Many of my friends/enemies are Poppy fans and have been pushing it down my neck for years that they have a good long history-whereas we were new boys and it hurts at the moment.......still.
I am hearing lots about the trials they are running for their youth set up and you just dont do any of the above without any surety or financial security.
Downside is they will lose their diehard fans who will not trave up the A6 regularly, but I can see corporate side getting bigger which is what Ladak sees I think as an opportunity - but if it all went tits up tomorrow I would not be surprised as Ladak is impulsive and could blow his wad tomorrow!
As far as I know the rules were changed post the Wimbledon move to MK. The location of a ground, in its relation to the conurbation from which the club takes its name or with which it is otherwise traditionally associated, is subject to approval.
So, is this latest move designed to make sure KTFC have a “home” in their Borough? And is this in some way connected to the RDFC appeal against expulsion from the Conference? Have “KC and the Sh*tupon Band” been advised that the FA / Conference may not allow a long-term relocation of KTFC to Irthlingborough?
