Well it didn't take long for someone to start bitching.
I do not know the history of the man but know doubt he has his enemies and back stabbers, however he has the contacts within the game to get our new team started and he has about 1 month to do it.
I honestly thought it would take longer than this. :roll:
It's probably worth pointing out that Steve is NOT interested in running our possible youth side, but apparently has a number of contacts who might well be interested in becoming actively involved.

That's what I thought as well, it's just a case of getting the ball rolling with people in the know. Maybe some of our current youth who haven't found other clubs yet might be taken on, that'd be excellent.
Any idea what Hopey was there for Dave? Maybe a potential manager for a UCL team?
I'm sure Steve will be a very useful contact and will help us no end in the setting up of the new venture. A knowledgeable local guy who came along and gave us some inspiration on the night in what was a very positive meeting and an open view forward of the hard work to come.

As for Chris Hope, there will be a few interested ex-players that will want to help see us start up an AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
I'm sure there will be a few around who will hope to see it succeed and help any way they can.
I'm sure Andy Burgess would be interested as well, he keeps on mentioning us on twitter and he's only at Corby so is around, I know he does coaching these days, so I'd love it if we got him involved.

I sent Burge a message the other day mentioning the meeting and it would be good if he could attend. He may be at Corby, but he still lives in Liverpool.
