Saturday Games
One area that I picked up on from the meeting was that with the launch of a youth team playing games in midweek there will still be an understandable desire to have some football on saturdays to go and watch. We need to look at arranging some friendlies for the team even if it was 1 game a month. There are plenty of teams that we can approach and make each game a special day with the game followed by drinks and a disco or something to continue to raise money for ourselves and our host club.

Um wot team :? let's walk before we run, don't think we will have a 'team' until towards the end of next season.

The youth team! We are obviously not going to have a senior team until 2012/13 season but that doesnt stop us from arranging some friendlies for the youth team at 3pm on a saturday.

I expect you to be raising this at the next AFCR&D meeting. ;)fentiger79 wrote:The youth team! We are obviously not going to have a senior team until 2012/13 season but that doesnt stop us from arranging some friendlies for the youth team at 3pm on a saturday.
Anything you come up with or find out fentiger (or anyone for that matter), please keep a record of and either email is to SaveRDFC or bring to the next meeting (or get involved).
There will be a bit of work before we can contemplate what you've come up with, but it's great for people to think ahead so that when we reach the step where we can talk about Saturdays, people have already got some of the groundwork done beforehand, allow us to progress more quickly.
Re: Saturday Games
we don't want people drifting back to Nene Park on a Saturday afternoon for want of somewhere better to go!!
Re: Saturday Games
i do think we should follow some ex diamonds on a saturday, whether it is for fundraising and or something to do on a saturday, if someone organises it and can put a AFC RDFC on tour fixture list together if there is enough interest?

Re: Saturday Games
Depending on where we play and nothing clashes i do think we should try and look into arranging some kind of game on the 3rd September which is going to be Non League day.
If you remember its the days fans from the Prem and Football League are encouraged to watch a Game from the Non Leagues.
We must get it into the local Population that AFC is the real local Club and not the Kettrin Franchise.

why give money to K*ttering or Cousins? If you can't keep away from Nene Park stand outside wearing a Diamonds shirt and give out information about the Phoenix club to supporters of other teams They may be in a similar position themselves one day!Rankine's Nose wrote:How about going to Nene Park every Saturday, but sitting in the away end? ;)

You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.
