Hung Out To Dry 1 - Publicity of Creditors Plight

Post by Formic »

If we accept that those responsible for the demise of R&DFC are keen for all the attention about what has gone on to die down, or for focus to switch to other enterprises such as AFC R&DFC, ensuring the plight of the creditors gets adequate publicity might just make those responsible either soften the blow for some of them, or help the administrator find some extra funds as they go about their job.

Normally we see a report produced by an Administrator which lists all the creditors, and there is a general discussion about how unfortunate some people have been – but that is at a point where it is too late to do much about it.

As we’ve seen in the “001” thread, there are many people with stories to tell of how this has affected them – and these are the sort of stories that might be picked up by the press (providing the individuals concerned are happy for this to happen). There has been plenty of publicity of the club appeals and the AFC initiative, but very little on the impact on creditors (I’m including ex-staff as part of that list).

I’d suggest that one or two of the might contact Gemma Toulson at the ET, who was the journalist covering the story, and provide details. Stories in local paper can then get picked up nationally.
