Over the next season regular Diamond supporters will save about £300 by having no games to watch.
So how about donating £100 of that saving to the new club next year in time for the 2012/13 season.
1000 supporters would raise £100,000. We could do a lot with that!!

Not if they've already paid that £300 for a ST. And 1000 supporters is a bit optimistic, I'd say the hardcore we have at the moment won't be more than 500 and the number would be even less for fans that would be willing/able to donate £100 or anything for the new club.sussexdiamond wrote:Over the next season regular Diamond supporters will save about £300 by having no games to watch.

But as suggested in another thread I think a system where fans paid a certain and voluntary amount each month for the next 12 months as obviously otherwise we're not going to be getting much income in with no senior matches is an excellent idea and if I could afford it I'd be willing to pay something like a tenner a month, just so we've got some sort of regular income stream over the next year.

One of the problems for those who wish to donate or buy season tickets is AFC R&D will have a youth team for this coming season and a new 1st team in the 2012/13 season .
My suggestion is to accept donations for this year to support the Youth Team and then have a 2 tier season ticket for 2012/13.
A standard season ticket which should be priced according to the match day pricing for UCL football perhaps with a 10% disocunt for those who buy before a fixed date. This could be collected by direct debit over the next 12 months.
A Vice President or what ever you want to call it season tiocket for those able and willing to pay the same as a cost of the R & D season ticket as at May 2011 (BSP prices). I think Adult was £300 and Concessions £180.
We are proposing to donate £150 to the Youth this season and buy a VP Adult Season ticket for next season. I hope to be at University next year but will attend as many games as possible.

I think the main thing might be to buy a share in the club in order to be able to vote on certain issues. It would not be practicable to have a football club that everyone votes on every issue. I should hope that a minimum of £1 per week would be sufficient for the start.
Let's remember, we're at ground zero right now - all routes are upwards ;)
