Any news yet
Re: Any news yet
They should be grateful that we have applied as I see it we are doing them a favour, if they say no then there is something seriously wrong. :o

Coltrane I hope your above quote is tongue in cheek, if we start going round with that sort of attitude we are soon going to rub the non league football circuit of Northants up the wrong way :roll:coltrane wrote:They should be grateful that we have applied as I see it we are doing them a favour, if they say no then there is something seriously wrong. :o
Nobody owes us anything, we are starting again from scratch, be grateful for what happens over the next 12 months....
Re: Any news yet
Your being a little too sensitive why should we rub anybody up the wrong way we are just a new club starting from scratch but as I see it if the league is short of a team they should be grateful that we have offered to join.
Re: Any news yet
No I am defiantly not being tongue in cheek, they have a shortage of one team and we are offering to fill it we are doing them a big favour. :roll:Formic wrote:Go on - tell us you really are being tongue in cheek !
Fortunately the AFC committee won't have that same arrogant attitude.

Did you mean defiantly or definitely - either might apply ;)coltrane wrote:No I am defiantly not being tongue in cheek, they have a shortage of one team and we are offering to fill it we are doing them a big favour. :roll:Formic wrote:Go on - tell us you really are being tongue in cheek !

I'll add you to my list of Diamonds Fans who've surprised me since the demise of the club.

If we are accepted, it should be us who should be grateful to the Northants Senior Youth League and it is them who are doing us a favour. Without their patience and understanding, we would be in a situation with no football at any level next year.coltrane wrote:No I am defiantly not being tongue in cheek, they have a shortage of one team and we are offering to fill it we are doing them a big favour. :roll:Formic wrote:Go on - tell us you really are being tongue in cheek !

Re: Any news yet
What a stupid statement Coltrane. Why should NSYL be grateful to us? They don't have to accept another team, they could have one less team I'm sure.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Re: Any news yet
All the various local teams, FA, NFA etc.. have been very supportive of the AFC process to date, which only started a very short time ago, and in most cases after various deadlines. So we do have a lot to be grateful for imho.
