ET Backs the Poppies
ET Backs the Poppies
If anyone was wondering why all the positive AFC coverage was in the H&P rather than the ET, perhaps this explains it -
"Don’t Miss Saturday’s Northants Evening Telegraph for unbeatable savings on Poppies tickets, including massive savings on season tickets, exclusive to ET readers! K*ttering Town Chairman Imraan Ladak has promised to “make watching football affordable again at Nene Park” and has backed this with the best priced season ticket offer in professional football."
This was an email I spotted as I was clearing out my SPAM folder - I guess that's the best place for any ET emails from now on.

Re: ET Backs the Poppies
Shameless.
The ET have an opportunity to follow a true feel-good football story (which has good news almost every day) and instead they chose to cosy up to the graverobbers.
It's understandable that they were going to cover KTFC (it's an interesting story too), but the description below just sounds like a full-on advertisement at our expense, and that's inexcusable.

I really hope they go bust, I know people have said they wouldn't want any other supporters to have to go through what we have, but I think I'll make an exception for the scum.
Regarding the Evening Telegraph, I won't bother buying a copy ever again.

Anyone want to predict when Ladak will pull his funding this year? I'm going for December.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Interesting article I think, I wonder if this will entice alot of floating supporters to go down to Nene Park next season.

Hopefully not, any TRUE Rushden & Diamonds fans would never consider watching our most bitter rivals.easystreet wrote:Interesting article I think, I wonder if this will entice alot of floating supporters to go down to Nene Park next season.
Will be interesting to see their first home attendance at Nene Park.

They are going to have to go better than that! I am sure any self respecting Rushden fan wouldn't enter that ground even if they were paid £150.
Anyway that's nothing our season tickets will be much better value at a much cheaper cost

Re: ET Backs the Poppies
So, the poor old bloody RDFC fans who have already lost monies paid in season tickets via cash or cheque, now have the unique, once in a lifetime, marketing idea of the year, opportunity to fork out £5 per game to watch Cuckoo Town FC now play at our historical ground. What a great bargain and idea!
I am so sure that people who have already lost £300 to the Bloody Beasant's really would love now to fork out a further £150 to watch that shite. Great idea Sadact - I would love to see how many actually take up the offer - i bet i can count them on one hand.
Doomed to failure.
