Question for Fans Forum
Question for Fans Forum
As I'm not back from holiday in time for the next forum, I wondered if the question of fund raising / fund allocation could be aired.
Clearly there is excellent work going on raising funds directly for the AFC Youth Team, but obviously more funds will be required for the full AFC team in 2012-13. It would be good to know how funds raised are to be allocated to the two causes.
Similarly there were various amounts raised earlier, starting from Cousins' initial meeting, and then via donations to an account the Trust held - again it will help to know which of these funds are available to AFC, and if so where they are to be allocated.
I assume there will be a consitution for AFC Diamonds soon, and this will help to define such matters going forwards.
My experience is that such matters need clarifying at the earliest opportunity to avoid later disputes.

Re: Question for Fans Forum
This is a Trust issue so once the EGM is called we can debate it at that meeting. All I do ask though is if any of you are supporters of AFC R & D and still a Trust member, get along to the meeting once it's announced.Formic wrote: Similarly there were various amounts raised earlier, starting from Cousins' initial meeting, and then via donations to an account the Trust held - again it will help to know which of these funds are available to AFC, and if so where they are to be allocated.

Re: Question for Fans Forum
On this Supporters Direct are currently having a new set of templates updated, and are with the FSA for review. We should have the final templates for us to adopt/adapt as necessary in the next week or so, with a view to then going through the process by end of August/Early September.Formic wrote: I assume there will be a consitution for AFC Diamonds soon, and this will help to define such matters going forwards.

Re: Question for Fans Forum
Formic, thanks for raising this again, I have asked several times and did not get a decent reply, all contributions I made were for the fighting fund for RDFC not AFC u18's - this was self funded we are led to believe and even paid the Asst Managers wages so any youth team should continue to follow that lead, I cant see that the manager should receive a salary either.
Any money surplusfrom U18's self financing needs to go to next years 1st team surely!

Re: Question for Fans Forum
Whilst R & DFC may have been self-financing last season surely we are talking about a completely different scenario with regards to AFC Rushden & Diamonds which is only an under 18 youth set up this season simply because there was insufficient time, after R & DFC's demise, to get a senior team entered into a league.Dinky Diamond wrote:- this was self funded we are led to believe and even paid the Asst Managers wages so any youth team should continue to follow that lead, I cant see that the manager should receive a salary either.

Whatever money the old Trust decides to give the new set-up is for Trust members to decide after they have contacted people who donated cash/cheque and sought their wishes.

Re: Question for Fans Forum
I'd be interested to know where the money from the pixels went. I assume it has gone into the trust account?

Plus the money from the Fans Forum bucket collection, other bucket collections, fans game etc. which, I understand, was put in RDFC's safe for 'safe keeping'.
Re: Question for Fans Forum
The money we raised from me and the wifes buckets were given To rachel who i presume passed them onto the trust
Re: Question for Fans Forum
Yes the pixel payment gateway was linked directly to the trusts account so ALL money went to them.diamondgeezer1 wrote:I'd be interested to know where the money from the pixels went. I assume it has gone into the trust account?
