They've taken a bit of stick on here over recent weeks, but ran a nice article last night:

Surprised it didn't get more of a response on here than it did actually. Good to see the ET giving us some coverage for once.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Yes and the coverage of the DR memorial match was good.

I was pleased to see that they have been asking Ladak some slightly more challenging questions rather than just acting as his own private soapbox. http://www.northantset.co.uk/sport/foot ... _1_2977099 makes interesting reading and check out the comment at the bottom of the article from John Brindley which reads:

"Would you like an eyeopener to what Morell Maison is really like? He approached me in April asking me to help him out as a media representative for The Global Village, which is his business interest. He assured me of regular work and I put in a lot of work for him interviewing football figures including Jason Roberts, Luther Blissett and others to promote his 'football academy'. I have not been paid a single penny despite numerous specific promises eg I will pay you this week etc. Anyone who believes I am the only person being treated like this by him is living in cloud cuckoo land. It's not my place to name names. Not only do I feel wronged, I'm pretty sure his football academy doesn't exist and that you're more likely to see Borat working there than any of his big names. I should have listened to his so-called friend Big Ron Atkinson who told me: "80 per cent of what Morell says is complete rubbish." If this sounds like sour grapes that's because it is. But if you want to know more about the person in charge of your football club, stories on the internet pale my experience into insignificance."

Companies that do not exist ???? Surely not!!! :o

He'll fit right in at Nene Park.

Perhaps the ET will arrange a follow up interview with Mr Brindley ! ;)

Just googled dear Morrell and didn't realise he had such a colourful background perhaps I have been going around with my head in the sand but my local paper don't seem to have mentioned any of this in the past, bit like Beasants background. I guess they're just interested in maintaining good relations with the clubs.

Do you think Kettrin fans will see past their cheap season tickets and shiny new stadium?

living in cloud cuckoo land

That bit made I larf

I don't give a stuff about them - after the comments their fans made about our sad demise I now hope they go bust !! I don't want to think about them, I don't want to read about them ......... unless its losing match reports ;) It'll probably be a success over there in the longer term with enough backing, but I will pee my pants if it does go tits up !! :D

he'll give the club to the fans, then they'll be up to their eyeballs in debt. i'm sure they've some big earners that wont be there come the new year, whatever he says.

No way will we cut the budget
No way will Morell Maison be manager of K*ttering Town
No way will R & DFC sink

Surprsied to see this article so soon after the start of the season, which suggests to me some doubt in the business plan. Already admitted not generating enough income yet and it is a gamble so far.

It is not going to be easy to increase revenues, I do not expect results to be great; the Nene Park distance factor as the weather turns and Champions League football starts will start to take effect, Corby have a new stadium and a good attendance this week therefore offering more competition North of the County and probably taking a few ex R & D supporters with them.

There are no signs in East Northants people are going to start supporting Kettrin @ Nene Park. Quite the contrary. Today is 50 days since the first meeting of AFC R & D; those who were there last Sunday and on Wednesday watching the excellent U18 win against Thrapston will no doubt share my thought. AFC R & D is here to stay and will grow in the LOCAL community over the next few years.

AFC R & D is a remarkable acheivement so far; dare I say the energy and commitment is surprising many of us as we look forward to the first U18 league game next week. And more importantly joining the UCL next season with a sound business case and competetive 1st team. AFC R & D also undermines the thinking of a successful KTFC @ Nene Park.

Place your bets for another Ladak re-budget forecast sometime in early 2012. Unless of course he sells a lot of Chinese food in the interim?
