Spurs beat Wigan 9-1 in the prem a few years back tooDiamondsforever wrote:HiHoRushden&Diamonds wrote:9 men to Ipswich now, wave after wave of attack, I don't think I've ever seen a professional team score 10 goals in one match before...
I remember Ipswich losing 9-0 to Man Utd many years ago when Ipswich were in the Prem.

Wasn't there something about the Joe Day deal that meant money upfront for the Tomlin deal was part of the overall deal???? I can't remember, but I know there was a lot of talk at the time, hope not for the sake of our creditors who deserve every penny they can get because Tommo WILL make it to the bigtime - we all knew the class of the lad !!

There was certainly talk that the sell-on clause might have been sold off during the rush to liquidate as many assets as possible.PigmanRDFC wrote:Wasn't there something about the Joe Day deal that meant money upfront for the Tomlin deal was part of the overall deal???? It's great to see Tommo doing so well - some of us backed his promise from the very early days, whereas some doubters were still saying he wasn't good enough for the Conference even at the start of the Edinburgh era. I wondered if that was the first time he's been interviewed live on camera - he certainly wasn't keen on being interviewed in his Diamonds days - even if Pressman was one of those who kept on telling Garry Hill how good he was.
