Still smiling

Post by Bobos »

Still got a big grin on my face after last night's game.
A good showing by the lads, and good organisation too, went off without too many hitches 8-)

Great to see so many "absent" fans back too.

I may crack a beer open in a bit 8-)

me too, what a stunning goal from Matti Ellis, what a performance from the whole team, Danny Bird was a rock!, what an achievement from Mark and Steve to get the team to perform like that in 7 weeks, what a great atmosphere, what a great feeling to know the club is owned by the 467 there last night.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

Well last night was my first opportunity to watch the newly formed AFC R&D and I have to say I am mightly impressed. To have managed to have brought this altogether in 7/8 weeks is nothing short of remarkable! I have to admit it felt a bit strange for the first few minutes after watching R&D at Nene Park since 98, but I soon got into it and thoroughly enjoyed the game. Kiln Park reminds me a bit of some of the grounds we used to visit when we were first in the conference and I used to enjoy visiting them. I may struggle to get to too many Thursday night games but will certainly try to make as many as I can. I actually think it was a good thing that we didn't have time to get a proper men's team out for this season as it will allow us to prepare properly for next season and hopefully hit the ground running. I think that the long and the short of what I am trying to say is that it is Great to have my team back! :D

Sorry meant OUR club, can't have it all to myself, that would just be greedy and there is enough problems with obesity according to the news today

In my opinion we have become a CLUB in the wider sense, rather than just a team that we merely follow.
