If anyone wants to do the Batty Boots Walk - it starts at 12:30pm at Rushden Hall Park - 6 laps (3 Miles approx). No charge to enter - just turn up (with some sponsors/pledges -for your own collection/fund), and then walk around from 12:30pm.
Rushden Council provide some refreshments (water).
A few people have had to drop out, so not sure how many people wil make it now. Anyway if you can make it - see you there from sometime after Midday.

I don't know about boots, you would be better off in waders. Hope you didn't get too wet.

Just a bit....luckyfour wrote:I don't know about boots, you would be better off in waders. Hope you didn't get too wet.

Anyway finished all 6 laps (started 10 minutes after the rest, given I was working in the morning, and got there for about 20 past, to register etc..). And it rained the whole time - pretty heavy at times. At least about a third of the course is under trees though :-)

The boots were repaired this year (free of charge as it was for a charity walk :-) ) by R J Smith & Son, Shoe Repairers, Locksmiths, Engravers [4 Hamblin Court, Rushden], so at least they lasted better. Thanks again to them!
