Matchday Volunteers Needed for Thursday
For this coming Thursday against Woodford we need some more volunteers for matchday, especially to become stewards, to help man the car park and to also fetch the ball when it goes over the fence. Obviously we have some people involved, but ideally we need more to spread the load.
If you can spare a bit of time to help out (If 6 people could volunteer to fetch the ball when it goes over the fence, we could split it into 15 minute shifts for example) please email chas@afcdiamonds.com or turn up early on the night.

Re: Matchday Volunteers Needed for Thursday
I was going to post up something like this MD, you've saved me the trouble
The thing is, its imperative that more people step up to the plate and get a tad more involved in doing the odd job here and there if we're going to be sustainable as a club going forward.
Hopefully we'll get a few more people volunteering, but at the moment a very small number of people are doing the lions share of the work and that can't carry on indefinately. Please give a little of your time on Thursday to get involved, you'll enjoy it !!

It would also help if our fans didn't throw on the floor the plastic beer glasses, for you to pick up at half-time Jim.

Perhaps a few plastic bin liners tied to the pitch side barrier would help in this respect? ;)

We had already suggested this, and planned to do it as far as I am aware. I even have a load of bin liners. Still needs people to actually put them in those though. The bins at Raunds did overflow a bit last time.Trek wrote:Perhaps a few plastic bin liners tied to the pitch side barrier would help in this respect? ;)
And am sure we'll do a bit of litter picking post match - as we used to do at NP as well.

Our fans should respect the fact that Raunds Town have kindly allowed us to use their facilities at Kiln Park and they should be encouraged via the programme and the PA system not to throw their rubbish on the floor as was sadly the case at NP. Too many folk, nowadays, just chuck their rubbish on the floor for others to pick up.
Rant over. ;)

How much do Raunds charge for the use of the ground by the way?

Thanks to the new faces that turned up and helped tonight - but more people are needed, especially before KO to help with taking entrance money and marshalling the car parking - we were a tad stretched tonight between 7.15pm and 7.45pm, but got through it
