Definitely a good point, Woodford looked a good side at times, but didn't really have the finishing fortunately for us. Chances for us were few and far between but we did come close near to the end. Another really good attendance as well, if we can average 400 for the youth team then I think we could get 600/700 for the senior team.

Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I was willing the ball in at the end.

We were lucky to come away with a point in the end I thought. They were a bit more physical than us and were more dangerous up top. I can't remember a meaningful shot. Thought our keeper looked excellent and it said in the programme that he has been on trial with football league clubs - assuming it was that lad in goal.

Thought our keeper looked good tonight as well, not that busy but solid and composed when he was needed. Also impressed with our no.10 who was subbed off in the second half, worked hard and was a bit unlucky with that miss in the first half.

Thought Woodford were a good side, probably one of the best sides we'll play this season.

They were unlucky not to win to be fair, they had some big lads, especially their number two, who looked a handful.

The AFC lads did well though, on another day it could have gone our way.

Haven't manage to get to any of the games yet but a 400 plus attendance is truly astonishing.

There was a couple of times last years attendances at Nene Park only just reached 1000; to get almost 40% of that for an under 18 match is brilliant, well done to all concerned getting AFC up and running in such a short time.

One of the home games last season got an attendance of 759 so that's more than 50%. :)

Number 10 is Jeron Thompson, I'm sponsoring him this season and was delighted to see him start tonight - I thought he did really well, especially with the awesome responsibility of having my money on his shoulders. ;)

Ashley Foulger, Danny Bird (4) and Zack Moon (8) were all in the running for man of the match tonight, Zack got our (thats Bobos and me ;) ) vote in the end for the pure amount of graft the lad put in.

First game for me last night and I would like to know, what does the R&DT on the back of the players shirts stand for?

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.
