[ CAR SHARING SCHEME ]

Not sure how this will work out in the long term, but we need to think about a car sharing scheme, both for away games and for getting people who have difficulty travelling to home games at Raunds as well.

So, I'll make a start by asking these questions:

1. Do you require a lift to home/away games? If yes, then please email me your name and contact details (please make sure you include a telephone number) to diamondpigman@aol.com

2. Are you willing to give a lift to home/away games? Again, if yes, then please email me your name and contact details (don't forget a telephone number) advising me of how many free seats you have/how many people you are willing to give lifts to.

What I'll commit to do is create lists of people who respond and try to link up people who need lifts with those that are willing to give them - no promises that this will work as its dependent upon people offering lifts. This will be an informal arrangement and like I say, I'll put people in touch with eachother, but its then down to you guys to sort out the travel arrangements - I won't have any other involvement other than passing on contact details.

Its important we try to get as many fans as possible to both home and away games, firstly to support Mark and the lads, but secondly to help the ongoing sustainability of the football club - there may be people who read this board (I know many people read and don't post) who would love to attend a game but don't have the means to get to Raunds or to away games.

I hasten to add, this has nothing officially to do with the football club, its about fans helping eachother out in an unofficial way - it is down to individuals to make sure they have the right insurance in place and legal/roadworthy vehicles - neither the club, nor I, accept any responsibility for people not having this in place.

No promises this will work, its down to you guys and gals to make it work.

Mods, be useful if you could pin this.

I remember once taking a few fans away to Cambridge in my 7 seater. When I got home and checked the due date of the next MOT I found it had expired by 4 months
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.
