Can the land be built on? I'm sure someone on here said something about the council not giving planning permission because of flood plains or something?

Could be built on for industrial/commercial purposes, subject to adequate flood prevention precautions, but that's hardly a viable proposition at present given the current state of the economy otherwise the hotel project would have been built by now.
Zero chance that ENC would grant planning permission for housing since any such development is to the west of the A6.

I assume the 1.8M debenture to Conalgen is to do with the land, anyone know the specifics of that?

The debenture dated January 2007 between Conalgen and RDFC does not show a value.
It states that it covers land and buildings, with a reference to the land registry.
I note, amongst many other things, that is makes claim to all present and future book debts, and other debts and monetary claims. I presume this would include transfer monies owing, and future sell on values?

So to sum up............someone who was in charge of the old club, gave it to some mates, so they were responsible, and then rode in on a white charger to look like St George, and now owns the ground, with no liabilities.............Oh good, nothing wrong there then? 8-)
