Is it just me, but my letter says Item 4 'To adopt the accounts for the year ending May 2011'. Attached are expenditure figures for the year - but nothing about income. Am I missing a sheet, or will everything be revealed on the night!?

No it is not just you. I had exactly the same thoughts. How can you approve the accounts when no accounts have been provided? I searched the envelope as well for the missing balance sheet etc.diamond donald wrote:Is it just me, but my letter says Item 4 'To adopt the accounts for the year ending May 2011'. Of course the adoption of Item 4 is crucial if Trust Members are to decide the use of Trust Funds and whether to provide financial support to AFCR&D.

Sorry guys, just can’t keep quiet any longer.
The thing that’s worrying me is that not only have the Trust Board failed to provide a proper or sensible set of accounts in advance of this meeting, the Trust also failed to provide a proper set of accounts for the last formal Trust meeting – the one at NP that the Beasants gate crashed.
It is a concern that these days, there obviously isn’t an accountant - or even a capable accounts clerk - on the Trust Board because during that meeting, the members of the Trust Board who turned up were also completely unable to answer any of the questions raised on the subject of the accounts.
It has taken the Trust Board far too long to arrange this meeting whilst the Trust’s chairman – in my opinion anyway – has been far too quiet and far too laid back as recent events have unfolded. Other previously vocal current members of the Trust Board have also seemingly either completely disappeared from sight, have involved themselves in other activities or have taken on new roles leaving themselves open – innocently or not – to charges of a conflict of interest.
Given the details which have now started to leak out regarding some of the actions taken and meetings arranged in the period leading up to the demise of our club, there should have been a far more pro-active response made by the Trust Board given that their original and clearly established primary responsibility to Trust members was to preserve and protect the future of the club.
As a result of their self-confessed limitations – credit where it’s due - the current Trust Board have left themselves open to the accusation of having overlooked that responsibility in their eagerness to hide behind the far more comfortable option of being just a money-raising supporters club. Hopefully there will be other people - Gill Wignall for one – who will be asking the right questions and chasing the necessary answers.
Rant over, now I feel better.

Re: R & D Trust AGM announced
Do we need a list of questions that we would like answering or is this likely to mean that the second item on the Agenda becomes the longest of the night (Apologies)?!
I assume a large contingent of AFC members who were also RDST members (as at 31/05/11) are being encouraged to attend, but has there been any decision made as to what AFC's position is in relation to the Trust moving forward and whether its existence in some form of other is to be encouraged or not?
Also a good opportunity to hand out AFC membership forms to those who perhaps do not have internet access, but who are Trust members and may attend having been written to by the Trust?

I went to the Trust Meeting that Chammie refers to - the gatecrashed meeting - and agree with what he says regarding the debacle over the accounts.
I didn't go to the last meeting they held, as I was already feeling betrayed by certain people who would be attending that meeting, but as I understand it from the reports people gave of the meeting, the majority in attendance were in favour of supporting the K*ttering move to Nene Park!
That's another reason why I won't be attending their meeting (which I think will be a charade that will restrict itself to discussing the accounts), and why I've become an AFC member.
