Re: Desperate measures.....
Apparently Hi Ho Silver Lining was played over the PA at the end of match. Just shows how hard Ladick is trying to get ex RDFC fans to swell the diminishing crowd.

He's slowly turning them into us........if you get my drift. Should we open up a book on how soon the name change will be? I bet there are discussions behind the scenes already about what they can do to salvage their sinking ship, they've cut prices to the bone, given tickets away and are now saying that 1200 will break them even, but a few weeks ago Ladick was saying they need 2500 - 3000, they make it up as they go along. Its just delightful that their season is so horrendous at the moment
I stand by what I said though, Stimson will sort it out and they'll probaby end up midtable in the end, but it is fun to see them struggle like this at the moment. ;)

I agree that they are likely to finish in mid-table obscurity - but that won't help them reach the 2500-3000 target that both Ladak and Maison confirmed was the budgeted target for the season, as recently as at the start of September - and that was before they slashed on-the-day prices.PigmanRDFC wrote:He's slowly turning them into us........if you get my drift. I notice Stimson is following the predicted path of making Maison the fall-guy, with several interviews that heavily criticise the majority of his (current) playing staff in public. I wonder how long it will be before the contracts of Maison signings are stated to be the reason for further budget issues - I notice they can't even get Match Sponsors now.

Re: Desperate measures.....
The "fire sale" is already on. In his interview on R Northants Stimson said he only wants to keep four of his 20-man squad - and then named 3 of them, one of which was the keeper. Given the limits on the number of loanees, it looks like they'll have to settle for lower league players or non-contract players.therushden wrote:january fire sale, as per usual.

Says in the NLP today that two K*ttering players played for free yesterday, one of which was their new signing from Tooting & Mitcham who apparently had to pay his own train fare to get from London to the game.
Fair play to him, but what does that say about K*ttering if they can't even afford to give the poor lad money for a train!!!

Sooner than you think Pigman........I actually saw them training last week in our cast-off blue training kit - still complete with R&D badges.PigmanRDFC wrote:He's slowly turning them into us........if you get my drift.
I assumed at the time that it was a disguise - the players all afraid that someone would mistake them for K*ttering Town players. Oh the shame of it!!

Sadact is obviously trying out the Ken Bates school of club ownership, anyone who had a trial at Thorpe Arch in the preseason had to pay for their own hotels, travelling etc.

Re: Desperate measures.....
Thats interesting if true, because surely any R&DFC kit belongs to the Administrator and should be sold off to create money for its creditors ! I hope they paid for it and just didn't take it without permission because that would be theft ........wouldn't it?Chammie wrote:Sooner than you think Pigman........I actually saw them training last week in our cast-off blue training kit - still complete with R&D badges.PigmanRDFC wrote:He's slowly turning them into us........if you get my drift.
