Re: Local(ish) teams in the FA Cup...
I dont really want to get shot down for this post so i will be careful on how i word it...And before i mention it yes i suppose everyone does have the choice to decide.detoxbirdy wrote:I'm loving it over there!! It really reminds me of Diamonds about 15 years ago with all of the enthusiasm and everyone is so nice.......for me I had to walk away from Diamonds when it finished as it was too upsetting. Some people will probably say that I should go to the AFC but I couldn't do it and I think everyone has a choice to decide.......so my new home is now Steel Park and it's nice to see a couple of extra Diamonds creeping over each week......maybe see you all tonight![]()
But what made you decide to go Corby? I have never been in the situation of changing teams to support so maybe i dont get what its all about, however when i sang rushden till i die i meant it, through thick and thin, through rough and good.
Im not sure i could sing rushden till i die one week then in the new season corby till i die...
Does anyone else have the same opinion? hope no offence has been caused

I won't shoot you down

On the Corby point I was asked to due to my experience from Diamonds, I went, I enjoyed and I have stayed! Not sure I would call myself a supporter yet or that the Corby guys would allow me too  but it has given me a giggle and I have met many old friends and made some news ones

Ive been to watch various different teams so far this season- Corby, St Neots, Posh and my local team Thrapston. As much as i have enjoyed going to the games i will never be able to get the same feeling about another club than i did/do about RDFC/ AFC. There is only one love for me.

OK we're getting warm now. So you're on the turnstiles now that narrows it down. ;)detoxbirdy wrote:

Hi Trek, she was there for the pre-seasons and first league game as they needed help and guidance as a lot of changes for them very quickly but not nowTrek wrote:Is Mrs. Thompson still active at Corby? Never seen her there on any of my visits.
I don't think people realise some of things that she has done for the local clubs over the years
So will we see you tonight?
