A half arsed performance by our overpaid prats yet again, a hollow qualification in my mind. We've just prolonged the agony, we have as much chance of winning the tournament as I have of pulling Halle Berry. Rooney should be left at home, he's a liability, the bloke's attitude stinks !! Still, I bet his dad took the bookies for a bit of dosh tonight eh? ;)

Bit harsh there Piggers. On the team I mean not Rooney. Thinking back to how painful the qualification was four years ago under McLaren I think it's fair to say this process has been far more enjoyable albeit the opponents have been slightly easier. We've had some great performances away at Bulgaria and Switzerland which we'd have lost 4 years ago. Plus a lot of young players have stepped in and shone in the last few games.

As for Rooney, what a prat. I genuinely thought that side of him had been put to bed. Now he's potentially not even worth taking to the Euro's if UEFA take a grim view of it, which lets face it, i'm sure they will.

I don't think I was being harsh, truthful, not harsh. Apart from parts of the first half when it was clear to all that Montenegro weren't really trying to do anything but get a point, I thought we were slow, sluggish and lacking in effort, concentration and creativity. Its almost as though these millionaire playboys just feel they have to turn up to win games rather than having to concentrate and work hard, the lack of closing down at times was woeful.

Anyone who thinks we'll do anything other than our usual "show promise before throwing it all away" act in the tournament is a fool. Rooney will probably be banned for the first 3 games after that tonight, so forget him for the group games - he doesn't deserve to go after that, he's too much of a risk.

At 0-2 it was a question of how many - but we switched off and didn't work hard enough, a bad combination. I guess its job done, but we stuttered when we should have dominated IMO. We'll choke in the tournament because we haven't got the mental strength to cope with the pressure.
