Anyone have any idea why my PM's just sit in my outbox and not actually get sent?

I think they do get sent but don't actually leave your outbox until they are read by the recipient.

Alternatively I've made that up and am talking out of rather large and hairy 'arris

You're right.

It's a bit weird I know, but yes, they just sit in your outbox until the recipient reads them and then they'll be in your sent messages.
