Possibly every premiership player could easily support a youth set up at a local level by helping to sponsor and support a local team with just part of their weeks wages. Maybe there should be a pay back clause when they sign a pro contract.
Maybe they could even keep a whole non-league team going for a year with it as well.
Just the presence of someone at that level raises the belief, commitment and achievability of youth players at our level and can only benefit clubs and players trying to achieve the same goals.
Oh well, I'll just wait until the lottery win comes knocking on my door, as I know where some of my winnings would go .............. ;)
