I enjoyed it - great little ground, welcoming people - would love to see us playing in a ground like that - is St Neots too far for us? ;) Actually, scrub the winky eye - is it? :?

Before I had been to St Neots I would have said yes it is too far, but having been three times now it's a piss easy trip. Got there from Earls Barton in 35 minutes on Saturday. Would only take 20 mins max from Rushden/Irthlingborough.
The major problem you have there though is we're alienating the younger generation who can't drive.
If you got people going there once i'm sure they'd want to go again. Raunds is all well and good but if we've got promotion ambitions we need an almost instant solution, be it temporary stands (i'm not really clued up on what you need at certain levels but I doubt Kiln Park would be accepted in Step 4), building a propper turnstyle etc. St Neots is BSS/BSN quality in my opinion.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....
I guess if it were to be considered as an option we'd need to seriously look at transport and car sharing (see the car sharing thread) etc, I can see that, but all joking aside, its a cracking little stadium and not that far away in truth, an easy trip from Rushden. I guess we have to start thinking "outside of the box" eh?
I'm not even thinking about promotion etc, I just want to see a Senior side run out in an AFC R&D shirt - thats the extent of my ambition at the moment

It is a lovely stadium and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it is too far. Remember what is so wrong with what K*ttering are doing is that they now fail to play in an area in which they represent, and they have given up doing so for the foreseeable future. Eventually, they will cease to be the football club of K*ttering because of this.
We should not follow suit, no matter how tempting. We are at Raunds now, and possibly Raunds in the future or Wellingborough, because we had no option and they are the most local and realistic grounds. Yes, we must have a gameplan going forward for a stadium (!), or a way to add temporary stands etc to a facility, but St. Neots would make a mockery of our local community club.
I don't mean this glibly or in a particularly sarcastic tone, but if people enjoy St. Neots so much, perhaps they should just watch them regularly, a Diamonds side playing there would surely cease to represent the people of East Northants?
St.Noets is a different county. Playing there would be totally alien to everything AFC are trying to achieve.
We have to improve the facilities in Rushden, when I say improve I should say create, and when I say we I mean everyone with an interest in football in the town as well as the Councils who perhaps don't have an interest
