Nothing interesting, but they've gone into administration...

They couldn't run a bath down there. They took a voluntary double relegation a few years ago didn't they?
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Fingers crossed they get through this. I don't want their fans to go through what we've just been through with the old club.

Of course we know a lot can happen in a few days...

From the 27th on their website it said
--
Manager Dave Williams with the team news
...
We made the East Anglia news this week and unfortunately we were let down as they reported incorrect details on the future of the club. My understanding is that the future is very good and that's what is important right now.

At the EGM held on Tuesday night, members agreed a rule change which will enable the Social and Football Club to go into Administration.

Keith Panter and Roger Barratt were authorised to sign the necessary paperwork on behalf of the club.

Subject to the paperwork being filed into court, it is expected that Gary Petitt will be appointed early next week.

This will remove the uncertainty that has surrounded the club for many months and will allow them to move forward and start afresh with new owners.

It is anticipated that the land and buildings will be advertised for sale and that interested parties will be asked to tender by way of a sealed bid so the club should know the successful bidder by mid to late November.

It is hoped that the highest bidder will be able to guarantee football at Cecil Street for a long time to come and that the clubhouse can be put back into use for both football and community use.

The football club will now be run through a company, limited by guarantee, namely Rothwell Town Football Club Limited. In the short-term it will be granted a license to use the premises which will allow the club to have power restored.

I doubt it. Cecil Street would need a lot of money spending on it to bring it up to Conference standard.

There was talk a couple of years ago that the Bones would sell their existing ground, to develop for housing, and then build a new ground with the proceeds. At that stage Ladick was interested but those plans hit the buffers.
