Excellent 2nd half performance, the quality of the ball into the box was far better and some of the finishing a joy to watch, shame Danny's 30 yarder didn't beat the keeper eh? Another enjoyable evening in front of a good sized crowd of about 220 - for youth football that is tremendous support on what was a cold evening

Keeper played really well in the 2nd half pulling off a string of good saves

I agree. In fact a crowd that every UCL Premier Division club, excepting the mighty King's Lynn, would be happy with on a Saturday afternoon. ;)PigmanRDFC wrote:....in front of a good sized crowd of about 220 - for youth football that is tremendous support on what was a cold evening
The second highest average attendance in this division this season is Peterborough North Star with a mere 155!

I agree, 220 for a youth game on a cold Thursday night is very good and it bodes well for the senior team if we can manage over 200 for a youth game.

I enjoyed the game last night. The first half we started well and I thought it was going to be a matter of time before we scored and cruised to a win, but Bugbrooke stuck at it and scored a little against the run of play. All of a sudden we're making bad decision, however our crosses into the danger area (by MOM Ashley Meeks) were superb, but we seemed to lack any conviction to get on the end of them and bury the ball in the net. Second half we totally dominated and once we got level we opened up, relaxed and eased away.
I also thought the referee played a blinding match, best ref I've seen for years.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

For our first season, from a standing start it's bloody fantastic. I'll be happy with a mid-table finish this season.wewantourdarbyback wrote:We're third in the league. I have a nosebleed.
