No, the next England manager will have to be English. Just like the last time things turned sour under a foreign manager, the FA will make a point of appointing an English manager regardless of whether or not he is right for the job (i.e. Steve McClaren). However, Harry Redknapp does seem to tick every box:

1. He's English.
2. He has a terrific club record in recent years.
3. He's high profile enough.
4. He's recently been embroiled in a big scandal! :roll:

I also agree the manager should be English and therefore I would rule out Martin O'Neil who will continue to do a good job with Sunderland.

Being a Gunner, i'd love Harry to move into the England Job, that may halt their rise into the upper reaches of the Premier League, or England can have Arsene :oops:
I feel sorry for people who don't drink................when they wake up in the morning, that's the best they're going to feel all day.
