Three Clubs Apply for UCL Membership
Three Clubs Apply for UCL Membership
For those who haven't read the UCL newsletter - http://www.htucfl.com/LeagueNews/view/20281 - they have confirmed in there that three clubs have applied for membership - AFC RD, Beehive United and Pinchbeck United. It looks like we might be in for a few trips to the Fens next season.

Pinchbeck Utd is an interesting one. Typed them into google and found this:

They play on a park pitch at the moment. Literally just a couple of goals on a big field, not so much as a bar round the pitch.

But if you look on google maps you'll see that they have the hard bits which are a clubhouse and an enclosed site (at least it looks enclosed).BartonRaz wrote:Pinchbeck Utd is an interesting one. Typed them into google and found this:

So they'll need a spectator entrance of some sort, rail round the pitch, hard standing round all accessible sides, a stand to cover 50 people (doesn't have to be seated) and some floodlights and probably one or two other bits that I've forgotten.
As I'm not one of the UCL ground grading officers I'll make no comment on where, if anywhere, the regulations may be flexible enough to allow them into the league with less than what is strictly documented in the ground grading rules but it is worth noting that the ground grading officers are there to help football clubs not to hinder their progress, so long as they feel that the ground is of a sufficient level for the league and most importantly is safe.
By the sounds of the article you linked Raz it sounds like finances won't be their problem anyway!

Certainly if they can attract a player, with a few years left in his locker, with over 200 football league appearances who turned down a BSN club. Another St. Neots?AndyKirkup wrote:

Funny thing is that ex Diamond Andrew Tidswell, now with Holbeach, comes from Pinchbeck

from poppy net
"From what I'm aware... the original "application" date of the 31st of Jan was to register a NEW club with the Northants FA. The application date for the UCL league is much later...
I would eat my hat if some clever so and so hasn't put an application in..."
Looks like hats and custard all round then!!
