Thanks for that

I think it would probably have occurred to Irchester to ring up AFC and call the game off by now if it were in any way affected.
I am sure they would but I just thought I would ask the question before I travel to watch

:D I am sorry if my factual posts cause anyone any issues

You didn't cause me any issues, but it's clear that either:

A/ You are on the wind-up, in which case you probably deserve some credit as you're very good at phrasing things in the most controversial/inflammatory way that you possibly can.

or

B/ You don't think your posts through properly.

To give you an example, if I was writing the same post I would have put:
Me in your position wrote: I hear on the grapevine that the Irchester manager has resigned! I assume that this won't be affecting tonight's friendly but it will be interesting to see who takes charge of the fixture.
This would have extracted the same information without basically calling the game into doubt a couple of hours before kick-off.

As we know, practically everybody in football reads forums even though they may claim not to and indeed most of them post, despite some denying it. My point is that when you're posting on a public forum it's the same as if you were writing for a newspaper (apart from that you are completely unedited) - you have to think about what the readers will infer/conclude as a result of your words.

What you posted could well have put people off coming to the fixture and that is the point that myself and Trek were trying to make.

Having written all that I'm now thinking "Why have I bothered to respond to this troll", but seeing as I've typed it, I might as well hit submit...

2-0 FT.

Anyone know how we played, or the attendance?

It was a good workout, we played well in the first half but were undone by a set piece and an error which let them in.
Thought Ash Foulger played well.
2nd half fizzled out a bit but a good exercise against a men's team

I thought we did pretty well against what looked much older opponants. A little disappointed that we didn't create much in the way of chances, our keeper did well, but theirs was more or less a spectator.
