I too heard the same thing, I think it was in one of the excellent articles about the Chester debacle on http://www.twohundredpercent.net/jimbobjaw wrote:Great post Dave, couldn't agree more! I am not sure where i heard this, so may well be wrong, but i believe there was a great deal of pressure on the Conference to accept Chester from the Football League, though quite what it had to do with them i am not sure!

Apparently, the meeting of the Clubs which will decide Chester's fate is at Nene Park, next Thursday.

Does that mean a nice little bit of income for the club?

Re: Decision day for Chester?
The fact is that the Conference were bullied into accepting Chester by the FA. If you remember before the start of the season the Conference were on the verge of booting them out, but the FA forced the issue by threatening to withdraw the promotion places and accusing the Conference of not sticking to it's own rules. This problem is of Chester's making, not the Conference's.

You have a message 2oDTwo of Diamonds wrote:Here's a link to the tables if they're booted out. Personally I think the clubs might just vote to keep them (and keep their points!)
Will they "do a Weymouth?"

Has anyone told them that they won't make any money from an English non-league club who don't even own their own ground? I bet they don't know the full extent of Chester's debts.Formic wrote:It looks like the Danes may have saved their bacon - http://www.chesterprojekt.dk/
