How come this was so well supported yet when they were held at NP nobody went? I hear there was 100 or so people there sat, yet at the RDFC ones there was 35 max.

Not criticising before anyone bites my head off, just asking.

I think (or at least hope) that people are buying into our community philosophy which is at the heart of AFC R&D, and the attendances at the race night, the last couple of quizzes and the Christmas Party are evidence of that. The old club was notoriously bad at engaging with the local community, and we are deperate not to make the same mistakes.

Simple, people feeling more involved as a community in a club we own, run and make the important decisions for, run by people we trust and who do a great job peopl want to support.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

Someone asked that exact question on the UCL Facebook page a month or so back. I simply said that we now know where the money is going. It isn't going to fill a black hole, or into the pockets of an absolute egg.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

The events were organised by the fundraising committee, which i'm 95% sure would have meant the money went to the trust. I know the effort that went in to organise them and seeing nobody support the events hardly was dissapointing.

Its strange really, this new club has given a fresh impedous and has put a spring in our step. With the new club i have now made friends with so many supporters that i never knew before, all this has helped bring people togther in a way that did not seem to happen in the last few years of the old club. if you could bottle this factor and sell it you would make a fortune

Totally agree Tony, the passion is remarkable, but not surprising.
After max left, the old club was run by faceless people intent on making money out of it, without putting anuyjing back.

We know that all our efforts will be rewarded and not syphoned away to some panama bank account "Allegedly"

Transparency is the key here 8-)
