Re: Desperate measures.....
just a thought, having read their latest "i laugh at their desperate measures thread, and we should all go and watch Rushden & Higham (who were Rushden Rangers and Higham Utd!, thats like saying we should all go and watch K*ttering just cause they play at NP!!!)
There was then the token your club isn't going anywhere too.
However it made me think if they do a CVA and the conference demote them out of the conference, i assume it will be into the Southern League Prem (maybe this only occurs if the club is in administration i'm not sure), wherever we get put, we'd be 2 or 3 leagues apart, which is less than 2003 when we were four league apart i believe.
Not that it means anything really as our club will play at our sustainable level.

George Rolls talked a lot about the "re-branding" job that needs to be done at Nene Park in the interview in the ET. It will be interesting to see how far he takes that particular idea....

I also see I came in for a little more stick when I've been nothing but nice to them recently, I actually pity them.
I presume re-branding means the club dies or becomes K*ttering Diamonds or some other bastardised name aimed at getting some local people along? Expect a new name and subsidised season tickets next season - I hope no-one falls for it.
If I were a K*ttering fan (perish the thought) my first few questions to him would be:
How much money do the Football Club owe right now?
What money will you personally be bringing to the party and how much are the Trust/fans expected to put in?
Is there any truth in the reports that you didn't leave Weymouth debt free as you claimed, but that there are various tax and other bills to the tune of £40k accrued during your tenure?
Why should we trust you when you continually told Weymouth fan you weren't going anywhere - then you ran out on them a few days later, have you no integrity?
What are your thoughts on a CVA?
Have you any thoughts about changing the name of our club?
There you go George, some questions for you to start thinking up some answers to, presuming anyone in the audience has the guts to ask them of you of course?
Contrary to what they all seem to thnk about me personally, I don't want their club to go bust, but I don't want it to thrive in our home either. Whats rivalry without rivals?
As for OUR football club, they just don't get it do they? We'll be sustainable, we'll pay our bills, we won't chase a dream we can't afford and as for IC's comment about Youth Football - well, it might be all you have next season, I guess you'll be one of those that heads for the hills if that happens?
Personally I've loved this season, its helped me gain a sense of perspective on football that I think many fans (myself included) have lost, I appreciate every kick of the ball now and can't wait to see Saturday afternoon football again. Do I cheer when I hear K*ttering lose, too true I do. In the same way they celebrated our death.

The real ace latest
Even if relegated we know have a chance to move our club up the ladder over the next few years, and I think we must grab that opportunity.
Anyone fancy the UCL in ten years time ??

We know form last Spring that there is 'debt free' and there is 'debt free'PigmanRDFC wrote: Is there any truth in the reports that you didn't leave Weymouth debt free as you claimed, but that there are various tax and other bills to the tune of £40k accrued during your tenure?
Re: Desperate measures.....
It will be interesting to see if the two Trust Board members who are sharing the 24% of the club are on the platform having had a full insight into what they are committed to - and what the state of the finances really are.
One assumes they will be savvy enough to insist on seeing the "due diligence" information that Rolls must have captured when taking on the club debts - and also to confirm what form any money the Rolls "injects" actually takes. He may well just be taking on certain responsibilities for debts, rather than puttting in any real money - and have the same attitude towards payment of those debts as recent people in that position.
I assume the Trust people will be smart enough to ensure that their fundraising isnt the only mechanism for paying those debts, plus the new debts through until August - and there is a reasonable chance the club won't enter CVA, and will satisfy the Conference they can get through next season. If a CVA is inevitable they would be better off hanging on to the funds they are raising.

Re: Desperate measures.....
Does a CVA mean a 2-step drop or does it just mean being kicked out of the Conference leagues? So would a relegation + CVA put them at Step 4 (Southern League Div 1)?
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.
