"Rules state that players should be booked for lifting their shirts after scoring goals, but referee Lee Probert showed compassion and didn't caution Cahill." - Nice to see some common sense!
"Reputations mean nothing here, come any where near me on that pitch and I'll kick you over the far stand."

I don't think that's a rule that is generally enforced to be fair. Bayo Akinfenwa has done it everytime he's scored this season (16 times I think) and hasn't been booked once as far as im aware.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Fair enough, it almost always is at premiership level though, I think due to the fact any message on the shirt obviously gets a lot more publicity with TV camera's.

Championship level shirt removal is always greeted with a card as well.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

I hope he pulls through all of this, tragic news... Fingers crossed...

It just goes to show the tremendous support of clubs across the country and the world...But was so peeved off when i heard a racist joke this morning regarding his situation...It had barely been 12 hours.

Sick scum who have nothing better to do than go on the website 'sickpedia'. D***heads!!!!!!

Im hoping he is back soon and this does not spoil his career...

Oh shirt removal is, I thought we were talking about just lifting up a shirt, like Cahill did today (from the pictures I've seen).

MOTD2 said his condition is still "critical" here's hoping for some good news tomorrow... Was great to see the messages left outside the Reebok stadium today, and the messages on the Real Madrid shirts. Showing that football can really pull together when it needs too.

Balotelli was booked for his "why always me" against Man United, but I think refs rightly show compassion in the cases of Cahill today and Billy sharp.
