Next season/This season

Post by Bobos »

Can I just say, how much I have enjoyed this season.
being used to watching a surposedly higher standard of football for the past 19 years, I have been pleasantly surprised at the standard of football the "lads" have provided us with this season.

They are a credit to themselves, a credit to the club and a credit to Starms and co.
Next season, I have already pledged to carry on watching the "Yoff" team, as well as the impending senior team, they deserve my support for getting this club off the ground, they deserve everyones support for giving us our club back, without them, we would still be plotting and planning what to do next season, without a clue what would happen.

We now have a better understanding of how a proper football club works, I hope I'm not talking out of term here, but without the planning, the blood, sweat and tears (one for the oldies) this club would not be is such a good shape.

I would really like to thank the lads that have shown faith in the idea of AFC R&D, and have made it a reality, and the only way I know to do that is to carry on giving them my support.

Well done lads, you have shown that you will be successful young men and hopefully a future legend of this fantastic club, thank you from the bottom of my heart 8-)

Ok, I may have had a couple of glasses of wine, but let's be honest, it's what we all feel? 8-)

You had me welling up there Bob ;)

I agree though, they have all been a credit to our club and I've been proud of the way they have worn the shirt this season and you're right, they deserve to have a good number follow them next season, but they must not be too disappointed/disheartened if the numbers drop once the senior side starts off, it'll just be a time and money thing for most people.

The experience these boys will take from playing in front of crowds such as they have this year will be great and will set them up well for their careers, either with us or elsewhere.

They have given this football club a terrific start to its new life and deserve all the plaudits they get.
