Yes, the match was filmed as per usual
So happy right now, just this minute got home and I'm the lucky one - I have the Cup sat in my living room - I may sleep with it tonight ;)
A fantastic evening and well done to everyone involved, a fitting end to a terrific first season !!
I thought the fans were terrific tonight, really got behind the lads especially when we went one down and they truly were the 12th man tonight - bodes well for the future eh?
If you did stop at home to watch Chelsea tonight then you missed a treat, and a piece of history, our first EVER bit of AFC silverware, you also missed a terrific match.
Well done lads, you were a credit to our club tonight !! One VERY happy Diamond here

Whoever decided on that figure must have had their tongue in their cheek. It must have been a couple of hundred more. They certainly weren't recording people coming through the gate I went through.Diamond Warrior wrote:Attendance: 479
Great night in our history and enjoyable a cup final as I've seen in 40 years watching the D's.
WELL DONE STARMS & ALL THE PLAYERS, YOU ARE A CREDIT TO THE CLUB, also to the club officials and supporters.

yes i thought it was a lot more than that, and someone tweeted saying they had been there many times this season and there was definitely more than that. Apparently we are on the back cover of the ET too!!

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

It's me that did the Twitter tweet last evening with regard to the reported figure. ;)Three of Diamonds wrote:Whoever decided on that figure must have had their tongue in their cheek. I've watched nearly 20 games at Steel Park this season so regard myself as a pretty good judge of attendances at this ground. When this figure was announced John Gregory approach me and asked my opinion. No way, I said at least 600 in my estimation. Strange that they didn't use the two gates available at that entrance which have recording turnstiles?

Re: Today's the day!
I believe in the last 6 games they have only been over 300 on a couple of occasions and a long time since they exceeded the fans who were at Steel Park last evening. I should mention that this is also a larger crowd that attended Nene Park for the Senior County Cup the previous evening and I shouldn't imagine that there was any damage to the toilets and urinals by our well behaved, but very vocal, fans. ;)wewantourdarbyback wrote:Save embarrassment for Corby?
