Messageboard Player of the Season
Will there be a POTS award from the forum, as usual?
It would be great to keep this tradition going.

Re: Messageboard Player of the Season
I would do it again, but as I've been unable to attend at all I'm not the man to do it this year.
Feel free to have a go yoursen ;)

Funny enough, we were discussing this very thing earlier today and we think it's a great idea to run it again......does anyone have any idea where the trophy is :?:

I may be wrong but didn't think the forum trophy was presented at the end of last season. Pigman sorted it out the year before. Wasn't it won by Jamie Stuart?

Re: Messageboard Player of the Season
Not directly related to this, but i've always liked the way they do the player of the season on the Cobblers forum. After each game a sticky is made where fans vote for the best performer in that particular game. 3 points for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd, 1 point for 3rd. Do we think we should do something like that on here next season?
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Re: Messageboard Player of the Season
Mark Byrne won it in 2010, but I can't for the life of me remember a) if it was awarded last year or b) if it was, who won it :?
This is a job for Noddy or Formic - can either of you remember, you're both blessed with fantastic memories? It'd be great to get the Shield back. It was originally the rdfcnet Messageboard POS Award, but I had it rebadged just to say the Diamonds Internet Forum Award.
I will look to see if I can locate it - I think it'll be too late for this year's awards though sadly, but it'd be good to resurrect it for next season if we can.

Re: Messageboard Player of the Season
I have emailed Barnet FC and asked them to check with Mark if he still has the Shield in his possession. If anyone knows Mark, or has his contact details, maybe they could ask him - I'm 99% certain this award wasn't presented last year, in which case hopefully he still has it.

Re: Messageboard Player of the Season
The messages on this version of the forum go back to 2009, so a quick search using the keyword "award" reveals all the discussion about the 2010 award to Mark Byrne, and a complete lack of any discussion about a 2011 award - so it looks unlikely anything was awarded at the end of last season.PigmanRDFC wrote:Mark Byrne won it in 2010, but I can't for the life of me remember a) if it was awarded last year or b) if it was, who won it :?

We did have a club awards ceremony in the Kimberley after the last game (free to attend, KTFC take note), which is recorded on the RDFC OWS - http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/NewsD ... 09,00.html .

Re: Messageboard Player of the Season
I recall Jim mentioning 12 months ago that the trophy had disappeared in the direction of London and I wrongly assumed Jamie Stuart. Perhaps someone could tweet Michael Stone who recently congratulated AFCRD on Wednesday's cup win to see in he can get Mark to return it?
It should be voted on this year. ;)
