He showed signs of quality, but he was never consistent.BringBackDuane wrote:To be fair, he was top quality when he started out in League 1/2 as a youngster...Harry wrote:A vote for Kelly...someone either blind, mad or a joker.
Then again, I guess Burge was never known for consistency either!

I feel that Lee deserves a place in the side as he has played over 100 games for us and some of his performances this season have been sensational. Although Burge is up there in terms of number of appearances, i feel that he never quite performed to his full potential and often went missing in games. Also in terms of having ability to change a game and producing a bit of magic Tomlin definitely has the edge.

Tough decision between Burge or Tomlin... I went with Burgess...

My thinking exactly. I also think that although most of Burge's games were as a left winger, his best form for the club was when he played as a central midfielder.Diamond_ Wolf wrote:I feel that Lee deserves a place in the side as he has played over 100 games for us and some of his performances this season have been sensational. Agreed, Burge always flattered to deceive that's why Tommo got my vote. ;)Diamond_ Wolf wrote: Although Burge is up there in terms of number of appearances, I feel that he never quite performed to his full potential and often went missing in games.
I'd have loved to see Tommo in the Conference winning side and the following two seasons. Burge wouldn't have got a look-in in my humble opinion.

The Strikers vote will again be delayed due to my other commitments, apologies for the inconvenience.
