UCL Div One...

Post by BartonRaz »

Just seen on the UCL facebook page that according to last nights ET we're set to be put in the UCL Div One. Anyone able to find the story online or write it up?
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Nothing official is known yet, so I'd take this as pure speculation on their behalf, it may well be where we end up, but let's wait for the official news eh?

Still, any news is good news if it gets the club's name out there :D

I think it was mentioned in the nice peaksey article that we were expected to be put there, but we haven't heard anything yet and won't do for a bit so it is pure speculation, albeit it could well be possible

Would it just be a straight ruling or would the FA explain the reasoning behind their decision?

Has anyone seen anything further regarding the future of the UCL bearing in mind that there was talk of further streamlining of leagues which may have cast doubt on the UCL continuing?

I understand the FA meeting to decide allocations into each League is on Tuesday 15 May, so I would expect us to hear something in about seven to ten days of that meeting.

Allocations meeting is for steps 1-4 so does not affect us.

In previous seasons this group did look at newly founded clubs as well, considering whether they were to be accepted in steps 1-4 or put in step 5 or below -
