Save the UCL?

Was just reading through this facebook profile, i dont know if official or just a fan page but in recent weeks they have been posting alot about a campain to save the UCL, can anyone enlighten me to what is occuring?

The F.A are looking into reducing step 5 from 14 to 12 Leagues starting from the 2013/2014 season.

People are speculating that the UCL will be one of those disbanded but the F.A says no final decision has been made as consultations are still on going until Feb.

Just seen on twitter that the UCL has been saved! Don't know if its true or the reasons for the U turn from the FA

It's confirmed by the UCL here - http://www.htucfl.com/LeagueNews/view/22109 . It looks like the FA are getting tough on clubs meeting the ground grading requirements instead.

Just read that on Twitter. Changes deemed unworkable according to the FA so good news all round. ;)

There's been some really interesting changes made by the FA following this meeting, such as Step 3 expanding to 24 teams, Step 5 a minimum of 20 teams, and the teams in 2nd and 3rd from Step 5 will be considered for promotion if the teams above them have ground issues. Other interesting stuff too, im on my phone at the minute but will try and post a link later.
