Best finish to a game ever?
Throw away all of your loyalties, but of these four which do you think is the best finish to a game?
1, Man city v QPR 2012.
2, Stan collymore Liverpool v Newcastle, Premiership.
3, David Beckham. England v Greece.
4, Billy Sharp R&DFC against some no-marks.

Who put the ball in the cobblers net??
Apart from that IMO i thought the united 99 champions league final was more of an exciting finale than the city v qpr game!!

Man City securing the Prem title this year - very dramatic was a great one, and still brings a smile to my face.
However, I think for pure drama (and the stakes), it has to be Michael Thomas' last minute championship winning goal for Arsenal against Liverpool in the last match of the 1988/89 season.
No doubt there are memorable last minute relegation escape acts that also would feature very highly for fans of those clubs.

Sorry wasn't born then so doesn't hold the same appeal. Besides we were already winning, not the same as Man City or Arsenal who were in the losing position (title wise) up until the last minute goals.....

Neither was I, but to win the World Cup, and actually been there, must of been special.stamboy wrote:The Godfather wrote:1966 World Cup Final.

Jimmy Glass' goal to save Carlisle from relegation to the Conference about 10 years ago.
For those of you who aren't aware, he was their goalkeeper!

Amazing feat yes, I know about it of course but didn't see it (only the highlights) as they don't tend to show those games livedavealbon wrote:Jimmy Glass' goal to save Carlisle from relegation to the Conference about 10 years ago.

You penis. That wasn't a last minute winner. England were already 3-2 up, tut tut
